The
paintings seen here are examples of my work from about the last twenty years.
Those painted in broader brush strokes are earlier, whereas the ones with finer, more detailed marks are later. By comparing them you can get an
impression of the development of my art.
I
often paint my pictures on the floor with the sheets of canvas stapled to rigid
boards. This gives me the freedom to approach them and work on them from
different angles. Once they are finished they are stapled onto stretchers
which I mostly make myself. Simple wooden frames are added before the paintings
leave my studio.
